Billionaire Carl Icahn Might Invest in Cryptocurrencies

Another investment legend, Carl Icahn, seems to change its position regarding cryptocurrencies and announced that he might invest up to $1.5 billion in cryptos, in a Bloomberg interview.

This trend shows that large pockets are looking for new ways of storing value apart from the US dollar. More specifically, Icahn told that “US dollar’s only value lays on the fact that you can pay taxes with it”.

He separated the functions between Bitcoin and Ethereum, referring that Bitcoin will be used mainly as a medium of value storing while Ethereum will act as the base for many decentralized applications.

Such an announcement has always an underlying application as large investors are always trying to create trends that will allow them to make even more money.
