Twitch Offers 10% Discount for Crypto Payments

The well-known game streaming platform, Twitch, announced that it will provide discounts for subscription packages up to 10 % if the customer chooses to pay in cryptocurrencies.

Twitch is part of Amazon while it has 15 million users daily and 2.2 million video producers and streamers that produce content from a daily to monthly basis.

The cryptocurrencies supported from Bitpay, that will process the crypto payments, will be Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and four stablecoins (GUSD, USDC, PAX, and BUSD).

It is worth noting that Twitch is the first platform of that size that promotes cryptocurrencies and their use. Many gaming studios have already adopted crypto strategies like Take Two (who made Disintegration and Outer World) and Microsoft who gave choices to players to pay for different features through cryptocurrencies.
