Los Angeles Staples Center Renamed to Crypto.com Arena
It might be the most famous basketball court in the world (after New York’s Madison Square Garden), Los Angeles’ Staples Center is renamed to Crypto.com Arena.
The agreement between Crypto.com and AEG, the owner and operator of Staples Center has been on a 20-year basis, worthing around $700 million. It is worth noting that the crypto exchange has signed different agreements with Los Angeles Lakers (basketball) and Los Angeles Kings (ice hockey) as exclusive crypto partner for the teams.
The stadium, with 20,000 seats, is the home court for Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers (basketball), Los Angeles Kings (ice hockey) and for the woman team Los Angeles Sparks (basketball).
Definitely a branding move for the entire crypto ecosystem…..
