Old and New Investors in Bitcoin Market

Old investors or “hodlers” seem to adopt a different behavior from new investors in the Bitcoin market, according to a research published from Glassnode.

More specifically, 95 % of the currently traded bitcoins in the market, changed hands in the last 3 months. This fact shows that the “new” coins are put in faster transactions as traders tend to buy and sell newly minted bitcoins that entered the market recently.

In parallel, we can conclude that investors that have hold bitcoins for a larger time period, still believe that the price would increase and decide to hold their positions.

This standing will definitely affect price formation as the market will gain more depth and build the perquisites for better paths in the future.
