Big Changes Coming for Cryptos in Greece

After a few months of its passage, MiCA began to be implemented in European countries, affecting all transactions made by exchange customers based in Europe.

 

The new bill of the Ministry of Finance has given two directions regarding the compliance of investors and companies.

 

Exchanges that have customers in Greece will have to appoint a local representative, with whom there will be communication between customers and the state.

 

Correspondingly, citizens who want to convert their cryptos into Euros and bring them to Greece will have to go through a preliminary check by the Tax Authority so that they can certify the origin of the money and the exclusion for money laundering.

 

Of course, we have not yet heard anything about their taxation, so we are waiting……..
