Crypto Tokens Are Leaving Exchanges Due to MiCA
The decision of some exchanges, the largest being Crypto.com, to delist certain tokens in order to comply with the new legislation that has begun to be implemented by the European Union.
The MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation) has been implemented since the beginning of 2025 and includes some tight regulations regarding the listing of currencies on exchanges with a European headquarters.
The tokens that have started to leave exchanges are Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Dai (DAI), Pax Dollar (PAX), Pax Gold (PAXG), PayPal USD (PYUSD), Crypto.com Staked ETH (CDCETH), Crypto.com Staked SOL (CDCSOL), Liquid CRO (LCRO) and XSGD.
The fact that Tether USDT is also on these lists has caused a sensation. The deadline for users will logically be until March 31, 2025, so from then on we will see the real flows outside exchanges………
