Will there be an ETP based on XRP?

We may have seen ETFs for both Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2024, but it seems that investors are also looking for new access to the crypto market.

 

Bitwise has filed an application with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for an ETP (exchange traded product) based on XRP tokens. XRP's market cap is close to $30 billion and is expected to increase after the product is approved.

 

Bitwise's expertise is already known in the field as it already manages a Bitcoin spot ETF, which is currently trading.

 

The Commission's main concern is none other than market manipulation, which can be detrimental to investors.

 

The fact that an asset is traded on several exchanges greatly increases this risk, but with the listing on larger markets, the trading volume smooths out this problem.
