Germany says NO to the Digital Euro
Germany has always been a barometer for the European economy in every sector. The Digital Euro is an ambitious project that is expected to bring blockchain technology into the everyday lives of citizens and into their pockets.
However, it seems that Germany is having second thoughts about the adoption of the Digital Euro, highlighting issues regarding the protection of personal data and the security of systems.
The ECB plans to have the currency in circulation around the end of 2025, but there seems to be a lot of backlog in many countries of the union.
Senior citizens are especially wary of cryptos and this cannot change overnight.
The project will be released to a limited extent and its success or not will determine the expansion to a wider range of services.
Until then, be patient…….
