Will the Expiration of Options Bring a Fall?

Each month, the derivative contracts expire and must be settled depending on the purchase or sale of the underlying assets.

 

For July, which ends in a few days, there are over 60,000 contracts expected to expire, with a total value of $4.2 billion.

 

The ratio between long and short positions stands at 1.6, indicating that there are almost twice as many longs expiring as sells.

 

Bitcoin and Ethereum seem to have lost market momentum despite the approval of Ethereum spot ETFs and there may be further declines in the new week.

 

The averages for Bitcoin this week were at $64,000 and for Ethereum at $3,100.
