Christiano Ronaldo Faces Charges Due to Binance Partnership

The world-class famous footballer Christiano Ronaldo is facing charges in the USA courts regarding his promoting acts for the crypto exchange Binance.

More specifically, the charges are the promotion and the misleading of investors for placing money in “unregulated securities” as being characterized from the US SEC.

Christiano Ronaldo had partnered with Binance for creating an NFT collection called “CR7” that could be bought from his fans. The cheapest NFT used to worth around $77 (now worths around $1) and could be bought through BNB.

The amount of the charges reach $1 billion while the US SEC has put in the spectrum of compliance more and more celebrities and athletes that promote investments in cryptos.

All of the above are consequences for Binance’s trial and its disappearance from the US market.
