G7 Took Decisions on CBDCs

G7 (the 7 most developed countries in IMF – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the USA) met last week and the finance ministers talked about (among others) the legal framework that will cover cryptocurrencies issued from Central Banks, CBDCs.

 

The main points that were discussed was the CBDCs’ contribution in financial and monetary stability for each country, the privacy and data protection for every user. In parallel, the participants concluded in 13 principles for the future framework regarding cryptocurrencies and CBDCs.

In any case, the largest economies worldwide have started to plan how they will integrate blockchain in their economies, a fact that opens the market even for more opportunities.
