New York Airport Tries Blockchain App for Coronavirus Cleanliness

The new “Wellness Trace App” launched in Albany Airport in New York, which will foresee the cleanliness of surfaces and objects in the airport.

The app was developed from GE, TE-FOOD and Eurofins while the core blockchain architecture was based in Microsoft Azure blockchain enterprise edition. The main function of the app will be made with QR codes, based in every surface on the airport, where visitors can scan the codes with their phones to verify its cleanliness.

In parallel, the visitors can make suggestions and observations for surface cleanliness and improving the cleaning services.

Many cities and public entities have created blockchain infrastructures for health certificates, that will show if a person has a negative coronavirus test. The “health passports” will become the next trend for the after-pandemic era.
