New Blockchain Projects from Samsung

The blockchain department of Samsung, Samsung SDS, announced a new pilot project for blockchain tools, developed for managing pharma drug’ distribution lines. The goal of those tools is to ensure transparency in monitoring every process in the pharma industry, especially in production and distribution.

In the pilot programs, many pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and research centers from South Korea will participate for 3 to 6 months, while the majority of them will remain anonymous.

The pharmaceutical industry has large processes regarding drug distribution as it requires special monitoring for every kind of product, real-time observation for the distribution process, and automation in reporting. The success of the pilot projects will lead to final products until June 2021.
