EU’s Defense Program Provides Funding for Blockchain Projects

EU announced the European Defense Industrial Development Program, total € 254 million, which will include 42 topics (including blockchain) that may help in European’s defense development.

The program will accept proposals (regarding blockchain) which create infrastructures, based on digital and cloud environment, which will be able to expand blockchain’s abilities.

The main goal for this program will be to strengthen current military infrastructures in Europe regarding asset maintenance, supply chains, and energy consumption.

The proposals are expected to be studies or designs that will help European armies to adopt new technologies in an operational and financial level. The deadline for submitting proposals is December 1st, with a possible extension due to coronavirus crisis.
