Will Ethereum Hold Second Place?

The sell-off wiped out many weak positions in Ethereum, with its price reaching as high as $2,150. This did not last long, however, as the price returned to $2,750 a few days later.

This decline suggests that 2025 will be quite interesting for Ethereum, and especially for its most powerful rival, Solana. And because Ethereum is now listed in several ETFs, it is also affected by events that usually affect traditional markets.

For this reason, the tariffs announced by the US have brought new turmoil to the markets and cryptos, while specifically for Ethereum, there are fears that some “whales” will try to liquidate their positions to transfer profits elsewhere.

Also, 2025 will be a year of upgrades for the Ethereum network, so we will be following developments with anxiety…….
