The new Trump administration has brought a small panic to the crypto markets as investor expectations have focused on the new role that cryptos will have at an institutional level, mainly through legislative initiatives that will run over the next four years.
It is not only prices that are affected by the upcoming legislative regulations. The biggest area that will be affected will be mergers of large companies.
To date, large companies cannot make large acquisitions due to competition laws. A Trump administration may proceed to relax these measures so that larger funds can create larger corporate structures.
And of course, this opens the door for crypto companies to enter more mainstream companies and have greater access through products of larger companies.
