Does Greece Tax Cryptos?

According to an article in Kathimerini, the Greek government is preparing from September, a task force that will be able to focus on the taxation of cryptos.

This potential bill would include taxing crypto profits at the standard rate applicable to investments, i.e. 15%. Of course, there are several question marks in the whole process.

Which cryptos will fall under the tax procedures, how will they be taxed and what will be the control procedure?

All these questions are expected to preoccupy us until the end of the year as from January 1, 2025, whatever is voted on will have to be implemented in practice.

As we have mentioned many times, the more politicians get involved with cryptos, the more issues like this we will see.
