25 Years in Jail for SBF

The US court in Manhattan pleaded guilty Sam Bankman-Fried, putting him in jail for 25 years, under counts for stealing over $8 billion from FTX’s customers.

 

The SBF’s defending line claimed that FTX customers didn’t lose any “actual money” so there was no stealing from SBF’s side.

 

After the above arguments fell down in the court, SBF was pleaded guilty for 7 counts while the 25 years for jail time, were considered as a low penalty from the juridical reporters, noting that FTX is considered as one of the largest frauds in the modern economic history.

 

The maximum penalty for that case was 110 years while the prosecutors proposed around 50 years in jail.
