Coinbase Hires Former Minister
Coinbase announced the hiring of George Osborne for a new position in the global counseling council of the company.
George Osborne was Minister of Economics in the United Kingdom during the period between 2010 and 2016. With this new acquisition, Coinbase is expected to expand more in the global scene of crypto exchanges.
After the FTX collapse and the continuous hits for Binance from the regulators, Coinbase prepares for larger expansions in the UK and the global market.
The ties between Osborne and Coinbase are not new. The previous meetings had gone through several events in the fintech scene in London and in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
