Germany Seized More than 50,000 Bitcoins

The authorities in the state of Saxony in Germany seized around 50,000 bitcoins, after an investigation regarding copyright violation.

More specifically, a German and a Polish individuals were arrested for purchasing this amount of bitcoins as a product of stealing from piracy sites. This event took place back in 2013, when the value of those bitcoins was much, much lower.

The current value of the seized bitcoins lays around $2.2 billion, a huge amount for any wallet. The case of Germany is not unique as the USA also have seized more than 200,000 bitcoins, that are still out of the market.

We still don’t know what will happen to those Bitcoins and how they will enter the market again. Or they will wait forever in some state computers………
