Anti-Money Laundering: New Provisions for Cryptos

European Union has been in the deep regarding cryptos, implementing and designing new rules regarding their client operations.

Of course, the cryptos cannot be regulated or connected with specific addresses or some person but this can be achieved through crypto exchanges.

For this reason, European Union will try to expand more and more the regulatory framework around crypto exchanges’ operations.

In this framework, the crypto providers will be obliged to transcribe all transactions in their platforms, regardless of the amount.

This highlights the “traceability” of crypto transactions, that was one of the major advantages of cryptos for many years.

We expect to see how crypto exchanges will react towards this future regulations and how they can evolve to continue their operations.
