Will Cryptos be Regulated in Greece ?

In a recent interview in powergame.gr, the Chair of Security Exchange Committee in Greece, Mrs. Vasiliki Lazarakou made a point regarding cryptos and the need for regulation. More specifically:

“In the last years, many notifications has been issued from the authorities regarding cryptos and their risks. In March 2022, all the 3 regulatory authorities (European Bank Authorities (EBA), ESMA and EIOPA) are warning consumers that many cryptos are high risk and have a heavy speculative character, thus not intended as an investment for the majority of retail investors”.

We wait to see some action from the Greek side, always following a European directive. Another interesting year to see…..
