Ethereum is the 2nd largest cryptocurrency and it’s expected to make a bold move in the next days. The pass from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake.
We should mention that there is already an Ethereum fork, called Ethereum Classic, which is based in a PoW algorithm.
The new Ethereum is expected to be much more friendly for the environment as it will need 99.95 % less power for the network operation.
Many crypto exchanges, like Coinbase, are looking to examine the currency again, as they want to see how Ethereum will operate in the new dimension.
As we can see the pass between PoW and PoS won’t be a simple process as described and we might see some strange things in the market in the next days.
