Ukraine Passed a Law for Digital Assets
Ukraine has been in the center of news line for Russia’s invasion in its territory but there is also a crypto aspect in its economy. Last year, around February, the Ukrainian Parliament passed a law “On Virtual Assets”, which implements an initial legislation for the cryptocurrencies.
President Zelensky asked for some changes regarding crypto providers that will provide cryptos in the market and who will supervise those providers. The supervision for this law will be under the Ministry of Digital Governance, along with Central Bank of Ukraine and the Security Exchange Committee.
The law predicts the providers’ registration, the national registry for crypto companies and the future taxation of crypto activity.
All of these, of course, after the current crisis….
