Citibank Hires 100 People for its Crypto Division

Citibank have started to develop its team around cryptocurrencies and blockchain, hiring more than 100 people in the respective team. In the company’s announcement, the vision for the future is clear:

“We believe in the potential of blockchain and digital assets including the benefits of efficiency, instant processing, fractionalization, programmability, and transparency.”

Citibank has a goal to offer services in vertical basis for every client, based with blockchain, including trading, investing and trust services.

In August, Citibank has started to trade in Bitcoin futures but the case has been stopped and still hanging from regulatory authorities.
