Digital Euro Starts to Shape Itself
Eurosystem, the monetary authority of Eurozone, called companies in the financial spectrum to pledge interest for creating the front-end part of Digital Euro.
The front-end part of Digital Euro will include the interface between the app and the end user.
The goal from this plan is to run some pilots with the back-end part of Digital Euro, which has been designed from the European Central Bank.
The main interested parties for this specific call are payment providers, banks and financial companies that will show interest until May 20th. The program will start in August 2022 and will last until Q1 2023.
