US Defense Ministry Looks for Cryptocurrency Tracing Tools

The US Ministry of Defense and the US Army announced a couple of days ago, that they looking in the market for tools that will trace cryptocurrencies’ route between different wallets and individuals. The goal behind this action is to enhance investigation and targeting for individuals and companies that use cryptocurrencies for illegal activities like arm and drug trafficking and money laundering.

 

The core characteristics of the proposed solution are the product to be web-based, without hardware or software installation, to trace cryptocurrency transactions in real-time and collect data and patterns about peer-to-peer transactions.

 

The winning contract will last for 1 year, with an option for renewal for another 4 years. The interesting parties could submit their proposal or ideas until July 20.
